Template notice: this document is a starting template and not legal advice. Placeholders in [brackets] must be completed, and the final text reviewed by qualified counsel, before publication.
1. Who we are
Learnax (“Learnax”, “we”, “us”) is operated by [Legal entity name], registered at [registered address]. For any privacy question, contact us at admin@learnax.ai.
2. Information we collect
- Account details — name, email, role (student, teacher, parent, admin) and the institution you belong to.
- Learning data — topics studied, answers, teach-back responses, quiz results and progress used to personalise learning and detect gaps.
- Content you upload — curriculum material or documents you choose to load into Learnax.
- Usage & device data — log data, device and browser information, and basic analytics needed to run and improve the service.
3. How we use information
- To provide, personalise and improve the learning experience.
- To generate reports for teachers, parents and administrators authorised by the institution.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use student learning data for advertising.
4. Children and students
Where Learnax is used by children, the institution acts as the party responsible for obtaining any required consents. We handle student data in line with our Data Protection statement and applicable laws including the DPDP Act, GDPR and COPPA where relevant.
5. Sharing and processors
We share information only with service providers who help us operate Learnax (for example cloud hosting and AI processing), under contracts that require them to protect it. A current list of sub-processors is available on request. We may disclose information where required by law.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as an account is active or as needed to provide the service, then delete or anonymise it, unless a longer period is required by law. Institutions may request deletion of their data as described below.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact admin@learnax.ai. Students, parents and teachers should typically route requests through their institution.
8. Security
We use technical and organisational measures such as encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege practices to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continually to safeguard your data.
9. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where it is, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. Specify data-residency needs during onboarding and we will accommodate where possible.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time and will post the new version here with a revised date. Questions? Email admin@learnax.ai.
